Our studies are focused on proteins and enzymes related to important human diseases, in particular those involved in the metabolism of D-amino acids.

In addition, we produce wild-type and variants recombinant proteins useful in several fields of biotechnology: for human health (therapeutic proteins), for bioindustry (enzymes for biocatalysis), for biorefineries (lignin valorization) and for bioremediation of pesticides, plastics and toxins.
